10kW Family Starter Package
Plan solar around the way your household uses electricity today and the changes ahead. MJM Solar’s 10kW Family Starter Package gives Perth homeowners an option to compare when a smaller array may not meet their daytime demand.
Your 10kW solar system in Perth should be matched to your roof, electrical supply and usage pattern. Tell us about air conditioning, a home office, a pool pump, electric hot water or an upcoming EV so those loads can be considered in the design.

Plan Ahead
A larger solar array is most useful when you can use its extra production or store suitable surplus. Look at the times your home imports electricity, not just the total bill. Summer cooling and winter heating may produce very different monthly patterns.
If your EV is usually away during the day, more panels alone will not move solar energy into overnight charging. Charging schedules, home EV charger options and any proposed storage should be discussed together.
Share these with us so they can be considered in your design.
Request an installed quote for the exact panel and inverter combination. Roof complexity, mounting, switchboard condition and connection requirements can change the total. Compare product warranties and installation cover as separate items, with their terms provided in writing.
Ask for the total payable and any incentive assumptions to be clearly stated. If you are comparing two equipment options, use the same roof layout and installation scope so you can see what the price difference actually buys.

Illustrative Perth annual average
An illustrative Perth annual average is about 44 kWh/day, using the Australian Government benchmark. Actual output varies; request a site-specific monthly forecast.
Compare Sizes
Smaller array
Compare this if your usable roof area, budget or daytime demand points towards a smaller array.
This package
Family Starter Package
Consider the balance between additional production, installation cost and the electricity your household can use.
Larger array
Assess this if your expected demand and suitable roof area justify a larger design.
View the 6.6kW solar package or 13.3kW solar package for the next comparison. Ask for each design’s monthly output and expected self-consumption on the same assumptions.

Optional Storage
Battery selection starts with the energy you want to move into the evening, measured in kWh. It also needs enough power for the appliances you intend to run at the same time.
A 10 kW solar array does not mean you automatically need a 10 kWh battery.
See our battery storage options and ask which exact inverter and battery combination supports your goal. Backup power, where required, should be separately described in the quote.
How It Works
Begin with a bill review and roof assessment. Then agree the equipment, any electrical upgrades and the connection conditions before scheduling work. At handover, make sure you know how to check system operation, where the warranties are recorded and who to contact for support.

FAQ
Still have a question about your 10kW design? Call 0475 404 818 or send MJM Solar an enquiry.
The panel rating alone does not decide this. Inverter selection, the property’s existing supply, other generation equipment and network conditions all matter. MJM can assess the connection requirements for your address.
Panels and inverters have different ratings. A design can use a higher DC panel rating than AC inverter output when the equipment and applicable requirements allow it. The quote should identify the exact inverter and explain its expected performance.
For illustration, 20 panels at 500 W total 10 kW. Other module sizes produce different counts and may create a nearby nominal package size. Check the actual wattage, count and total DC capacity on the final quote.
